Meet Kevyn

I am a bit of an old soul. History and stories mean a great deal to me, which is a large part of why I love weddings so much. On my own wedding day my husband recorded a song onto a cassette for me to play on an old tape recorder, and my parents rented a 1955 Chevy for the getaway car, tied with the same shoes and cans they used at their own wedding.

When I am not photographing a wedding you will usually find me walking the neighbourhood with my husband AJ, our daughter Caroline and our very energetic mini Goldendoodle, Franklin. Otherwise I am in a local coffee shop, or on the couch with Survivor or The Great British Baking Show. Other than home, my favourite place in the world is Boone, North Carolina, where AJ and I met in college.

Mostly, I really like people, and getting to know what is important to them. Your wedding day is more than an event. It is a rare gathering of all of your favourite people, and those moments of connection are what make it worth photographing.
